Artist, photographer, filmmaker, iconoclast. Warhol was a pioneer of the Pop art movement, pushing the boundaries of traditional art with his interpretations of everyday objects. In the 60s he started making silkscreen prints at his studio, The Factory.
Andy Warhol for Herschel Supply pairs signature styles with three of his most iconic works from The Factory.
We feature three Warhol artworks that each took a piece of the natural world and put it through the Pop art production line until it was familiar, but unlike anything the world had ever seen. Organic is layered with the inorganic — neon cows, synthetic colors over flowers, a pink banana.
One of his earliest forays into Pop art, Flowers sees simple hibiscus flowers transformed by vivid colors and high contrast compositions.
Originally produced as wallpaper, Cow was one of Warhol’s first prints
A Pop art screen print and now one of Warhol’s most famous works
